چکیده

Defect detectors and comparators, able to detect tiny differences between a reference (REF) sample material under test (MUT), are presented in this paper. In one version, the comparator is implemented by means of rat-race hybrid coupler single step-impedance open-ended transmission line connected ports coupler. The exploits imbalance generated two pairs isolated when MUT differs from REF sample. other pair used for feeding ( $\Delta $ -port) recording output signal notation="LaTeX">$\Sigma -port), achieved harmonic tuned operating frequency resulting device therefore two-port structure, considered variable magnitude coefficient, an easily measurable quantity. Miniature Microwave Notch Filters and Comparators Based on Transmission Lines Loaded with Stepped Impedance Resonators (SIRs)

In this paper, different configurations of transmission lines loaded with stepped impedance resonators (SIRs) are reviewed. This includes microstrip lines loaded with pairs of SIRs, and coplanar waveguides (CPW) loaded with multi-section SIRs. Due to the high electric coupling between the line and the resonant elements, the structures are electrically small, i.e., dimensions are small as compar...

Using a VIA-Less CRLH Transmission Line to Design Compact Wilkinson Power Dividers and Rat-Race Couplers

A method for design and implementation of a compact via-less Composite Right/Left-Handed Transmission Line (CRLH TL) is presented. By introducing a new circuit model, the CRLH transmission line behavior is studied versus the parameters variations to achieve the desired characteristic impedance and electrical length. Then a compact quarter wavelength CRLH transmission line with 70 Ω characte...

Transmission Lines Transmission Lines Fabric Port

We describe our experiences verifying real communications hardware using machine-assisted proof. In particular we re ect on the errors found, problems encountered and the bottlenecks that slowed the progress of the proofs. We also note techniques which would alleviate the problems. Most of the problems we discuss only become signi cant when large designs are veri ed.

The Effect of Impedance Mismatch on Phase Linearity of GCPW Loaded Transmission Lines and Shunt Stubs

This paper presents a study on the effect of impedance mismatch on phase linearity (group delay variations) in grounded coplanar waveguide (GCPW) structures. Two 400 ps GCPW delay lines were designed using a short circuited stub and a transmission line. The structures were simulated over a wide frequency range (0.1 GHz5 GHz) using both ADS circuit model and CST electromagnetic simulation tool. ...
